Search Report For Sunday 24/3/19

A beautiful sunny day with just a few clouds in the afternoon, perfect conditions for metal detecting.

The ground was easy to dig moist but not soggy, thus easy to take a nice shaped plug out. Some of the fields had been spread with slurry, I avoided them!

Thirteen members and one new applicant attended this search.

Best finds of the day were, a 1885 silver three pence piece, a very large crotal bell,  unfortunately not complete, a military cape badge in perfect condition complete with clasp.

As usual, a number of copper coins, shrapnel and second world war bullet and cases were found.
