Club search Sunday 9th September

A fantastic sunny day for the club search on Sunday 9th September. In Ken and Gill’s absence, Geoff ably assisted by Ron, led the seven searchers to the club site. Two fields were searched, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, one field was stubble but rolled nicely flat and one ploughed and rolled, in perfect condition.

The photographs show the members searching and Geoff’s morning and afternoon finds. In the afternoon Geoff found what appears to be a foreign, badly folded hammered silver coin. It is also unusual to find such a large shoe buckle intact! In the morning session John also uncovered a find of note, a Nuremburg Jetton.
