I am contacting your club over the matter of a research project on tokens from Gravesend and surrounding areas. I have spent 12 years looking for new examples and have come across quite a few. Iam not looking to record 17th century examples only those from the 18th / 19th and 20th century. As a keen metal detector myself I have found a fair few. I hope to publish a reference book in the coming years which should go someway to sheding light on Kents tokens. What Iam looking for is images and details which i can make a line drawing from but not the find spot . I would of course credit any persons whom can help me in my search. Also I would be happy to purchase any that i need for my collection but this is of secondary importance. Many thanks for any you can give. james elford
