While doing some DIY at home, a small metal object fell out the ceiling, I’ve attached a picture. Is it a small trade weight of sorts and any idea what the symbols are?

Yes it is a Trade weight
V with crown over is the Royal Cyper for Queen Victoria
The coffee pot or ewer – The Founders Company – verification of official brass weights
The quartered shield replaced the Sword of St. Paul from 1826 – is the City of London Guildhall mark
Likely date post 1826 when the new ‘Imperial Standards’ came into force
